THE FACULTY OF PLANT PROTECTION AND AGROCHEMISTRY

The faculty was established by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 3, 2015 No 311 on the basis of the Faculty of Agronomy as the Faculty of Plant Protection and Fruit and Vegetable Growing. The Faculty of Plant Protection and Agrochemistry was established by the decision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 7, 2017 No 220. The faculty has 5 departments. 4 of them are specialized departments: Plant Protection (Plant Protection and Quarantine), Agricultural Quarantine, Agrochemistry and Soil Science and Medicinal Plant Growing and Processing Technology. There are 5 doctors of sciences and 18 candidates of sciences at the faculty. 725 students study at the faculty. There are a number of clubs at the faculty. Including “Young Entomologist”, “Searching Youth”, “Mother Earth”. Also, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No 4421, the faculty selected talented students from the 2nd stage and formed talented groups.
