In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 7, 2020, No. PP-4795 (on measures to further improve the agricultural education system), the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies was established, evolving from the Andijan branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University. A new faculty, “Agribusiness and the Digital Economy,” now operates at the institute, comprising five departments: “Agricultural Economics,” “Agribusiness and Marketing,” “Accounting, Analysis, and Audit,” “Information Technology and Mathematics,” and “Medicinal and Spicy Plants.” The faculty currently offers training in various fields such as Agricultural Economics, Accounting and Auditing (in agriculture), Agribusiness and Investment Activities, Accounting in the Agro-Industrial Sector, Marketing (in agriculture), Tourism (Agrotourism), Law, and Technology of Growing and Processing Medicinal Plants. Presently, the faculty hosts over 800 students who are being trained by highly qualified professors.
