In 1964, the departments of “ General Chemistry ” and “ Physics ” were created at the Andijan Cotton Growing Institute. Later in 2012 departments “ Physics and Chemistry ” department “ Pedagogy and Natural Sciences ” was created . Since 2016, this department was named the Department of Physics and Chemistry and to this day continues to operate under the name of the Department of Physics and Chemistry.

Every month, teachers of the department conduct cultural activities in the student dormitory – educational events in the traditions of “ Ustoz – shogird ”. Elderly teachers of the department P. Xakimov, A. Muzaffarov take a constant active part in these events . As well as young teachers of the department – S. Usmonova , G. Nabieva, U. Mamatkulova , X. Usarov , X.Jamolova , A. Gofurov , M. Muidinov , during their activities, conduct educational work with students.
