The department was founded in 1964 and in July 2018 began operating as an independent department under the name “Department of Electricity, Hydraulic Engineering and Pumping Stations”. Since August 2020, it began its activity as an independent department under the name “Use of electric energy and pumping stations”.

Achievements of the curriculum: Textbooks entitled “Pumping Devices in Wells” by B.M.Shakirov for the teaching of “Use of hydroelectric buildings and pumping stations, agriculture and meliorative”, textbooks “Renewable Energy Sources” and “Fundamentals of Energy Transparency” by N.A.Samatov for the education of “Energy Supply in Cheese and Water Management”, Textbooks entitled “Alternative Energy Sources” were published for teaching directions “Automation and Management of technological processes and production”, a textbook entitled “The Use of Pumping Stations and Devices” for the direction of education, A.I.Ismail published textbooks entitled “The Use of Pumping Stations and Devices”.

Achievements of scientific work: the scientific work carried out by the faculty’s professors is as follows: by B.Shakirov “Improving the efficiency of operation of centrifugal and axial pumps of pumping stations of irrigation systems”, and “Improvement of hydraulic characteristics of water intake chambers of pumping stations of irrigation systems”, by A.Maxmudov “Mechanism of Cracking in Elements and Body of Soil Dams”, by N.Samatov “Adjustable asynchronous electric drive with induction rheostat for the pneumatic conveyor of the cotton-growing complex”, by T.Qayumov “Improving the technology of exploitation of biogas ethergetic devices” name monographs published. Senior lecturer of the department by T.Qayumov “Base the parameters of the initial processing worker equipment of a biogas power plant” in the subject (PhD) dissertation. Also, during 2020-2024, faculty professors published more than 300 articles and 12 DGU in their name in the republic and abroad.

Spiritual and educational work: In order to provide meaningful leisure for students, faculty professors and teachers of the department hold a variety of sports events, meetings, intellectual games, zukko readers, ball girls, and other entertainment events.

Foreign cooperation: Conferences were held with the National Research University of Kazakhstan and the universities of Southern Kazakhstan named after M.Auezov.

Talented students: 1st grade QSXET master (Beroea and Agriculture Ministry Scholarship), Turg’unboyeva Mohinur 3rd grade QSXET (Ministry of Agriculture scholarship), Qurbonova Nafisa 4th grade TJIChAB and Saidolimov Shakhboz 3rd grade QSXET (Student candidate of the year) regularly participate in such competitions as a well-known scholarship and “Heirs of Mirzo Ulugbek”.

Circles: – “Young Engineer”, “Young Automatic”, “Young Electric”, “Young Hydraulics”, “Young Hydroelectric”, “Young Mechanic”.

Available directions: Use of hydroelectric power plants and pumping stations, energy supply in agriculture and water management, automation and management of technological processes and production, electrification and automation of agriculture (only correspondence).
