The information resource center (library) has been operating since the establishment of the institute in 1964. At the beginning of its work, the library funds of higher educational institutions such as A. Navoiy republican library, scientific and technical library, TashSU, TIIIMSX were used.Currently, the Information Resource Center has 5 departments:
1.Scientific-methodical and information-information (periodical publications):
Scientific-advancement and information-information (periodicals) department has set the tasks of compiling the paper and electronic forms of the decisions, laws, and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and delivering them to users quickly and qualitatively. Also. promotion and accounting of dissertations and auto-abstracts, monographs, master’s theses, scientific conference materials of professors-teachers, doctoral students and master’s and talented students;
Scopus ва Science Direct enters the lists in the international scientific and technical database. Wide promotion of Uzbek national encyclopedias, world encyclopedias and dictionaries, spravochniks, socio-political literature, timed press publications, newspapers and magazines, keeping track of scientific articles of professors and teachers published in newspapers and magazines, creating electronic editions, constantly filling the index of articles. tasks are defined.
2.Compilation, cataloging and systematization of information library resources:
The Information-Resource Center independently determines the sources of assembling funds, studies the level of provision of educational literature in the section of the department, analyzes the availability of educational, scientific and other literature to users, examines the literature received by the department and separates it according to content and language, completes the book, new arrivals scanning books to create full-text electronic form.
3. Service with information-library resources:
Wide promotion of books, literature and resources to the users of the resources available in the fund, organization of exhibitions related to important dates in the exhibition halls of the Information-Resource Center, analyzing the efficiency of users’ traffic, filling all study halls of the Information-Resource Center with literature, users of the Information-Resource Center to get acquainted with the general rules of the center, to put a mark on the book and to emphasize that they must comply with the requirements for tearing, losing, holding it in the hand for a long time.
4. Department for working with electronic-information library resources:
Information-Resource Center Department of Information Technologies to organize users’ use of multimedia, lecture texts, electronic resources, electronic textbooks and educational methodological complexes of all subjects, to promote the electronic catalog of the collection included in the https://Library.andqxai.uz Online Library page to users and students , find the necessary information quickly and conveniently using electronic search software; the tasks of copying, printing with a printer, creating an electronic form of a document by scanning, and controlling users’ independent use of computers are defined.
5. Departments for working with foreign information library resources:
Ensuring the provision of information-library services by creating the opportunity to use world scientific and educational information-resources, providing national and foreign publications (printed literature, audio, video and other electronic) funds for formation, storage and use, using a collective electronic catalog Information- Creation of electronic libraries and databases combining their resources.
Formation of information resources of other educational institutions by creating original thematic databases of information in order to satisfy the information needs of the Information-Resource Center users.
