The Department of “Agricultural Economics” was established on base of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 30, 2020 No PP-4795 “On measures to further improve the agricultural sector”, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 29, 2020 “On the approval of the Charter and organizational structure of the Tashkent State Agrarian University and its branches and Andijan Agriculture and Agri-technologies Institute” and the order No 321-A (B) of the Andijan Agriculture and Agri-technologies Institute dated October 12, 2020.

Associate Professor of the Department Nosirov Bahodirjon was accepted as a member of the editorial board of the international scientific journal “European Journal of Life Safety and Stability” on December 27, 2020. The journal is included to the 25th Directory of Open Access Journals and Google Scholar in the list of indexes recommended by the Supreme Attestation Committee of Uzbekistan for the publication of scientific articles. Also, Associate Professor G.Zufarova was accepted as a member of the editorial board of the Russian scientific-practical journal “Actual Science”.

In the framework of the project of the European Union Erasmus + program 586000-EPP-1-2017-PT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP digital BUZNET (B-learning Uzbekistan Veterinary Network – 2017-2021) and the EU Erasmus + program 585603-EPP-1-2017-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP digital TOPAS (From Theoretical-Oriented to Practical education in Agrarian Studies) Projects on transition from theory-based education to practice-based education in agriculture are underway.– Talented students: The department has 18 talented students who are attached to teachers and conduct creative and scientific research on actual issues of economics.
Meetings with graduates of the department will be held with economists, heads of employers and mature professionals.
