About the tasks set in support of the use of renewable energy sources in the Republic of Uzbekistan

In order to increase the energy efficiency of the economy and the social sphere, to carry out a unified state policy in the field of reducing the volume of energy consumption of the economy, as well as to support and encourage the active introduction of energy-saving advanced technologies, the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “on the use of renewable energy sources” adopted on May 21, 2019: Including :

  • manufacturers of devices of renewable energy sources pay all types of tax for a period of five years, from the date of state registration;

  • for the installation of renewable energy devices (with a nominal capacity of 0.1 mW or more), from the moment of their commissioning, pay property taxes for a period of ten years, as well as land taxes on areas occupied by these devices;

  • One of the main data is that persons using renewable energy sources in residential areas completely disconnected from existing energy networks are granted exemption from paying land tax for a period of three years from the month of using renewable energy sources.

In addition, solar photovoltaic installations, solar water heaters, as well as energy-efficient gas are provided to individuals – up to 30% of the purchase price of devices, for solar photovoltaic installations – from 3 million sums

for gas—electric devices – it is prescribed that compensation will be provided in the amount of no more than 200 thousand sums.

Individuals and legal entities of the Republic are provided with devices for the use of renewable energy sources, energy-efficient gas-fuel appliances and boilers, as well as a small number of commercial banks for the purchase of other energy-efficient equipment, that is, loans in the amount of 5-8 percent will be allocated and used.
