When a student has a child, he is given a one-time allowance by the HEI. To do this, the student will have to submit an application to the HEI no later than six months from the date of birth of the child. It is mandatory to pay it no later than 10 days for the benefit money established by the management. Currently, the allowance is 70.3% of the minimum wage.

Legal basis: according to paragraph 6 of the regulation “On the procedure for the appointment and payment of benefits for state social insurance”, the following rules are established.
Women who work, as well as women studying in Higher, Secondary specialized, vocational educational institutions, master’s, postgraduate, clinical residency, doctoral studies, separated from production, are paid a lump sum allowance at the birth of a child, respectively, from the place of work or study.
Appendix -1 to Resolution No. 344 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 3, 2021 “on granting academic vacation to students of higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan” defines the procedure for granting academic vacation to students of higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and continuing their studies after academic vacation.
On the basis of the conclusion of the medical institution in constant medical supervision, the student can be granted academic vacation for the duration of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as child care leave (articles 233-234 of the Labor Code), established by the HEI in legislative acts.
Students on academic vacation for pregnancy and childbirth, as well as child care, may return to study at least for the duration of the beginning of the term of the next academic year, which is not fully mastered by the student.
Students are not paid scholarships during the academic vacation period. According to Article 233 of the Labor Code, women are given pregnancy and childbirth holidays with a period of seventy calendar days before birth and fifty-six calendar days after birth (seventy calendar days in cases of difficult childbirth or the birth of two or more children), and a state social insurance allowance is paid. Pregnancy and childbirth vacation are calculated in a cumulative manner and are given to a woman in full, regardless of how many days of such vacation are used in practice before childbirth. So, if the student works on the basis of an employment contract, pregnancy and childbirth leave from the place of work are given and a state social insurance allowance is paid. If the student is not working anywhere and is only studying, he will not be paid a decree money and can be given academic vacation for the duration of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as, child care leave, established by the HEI in legislative acts.
Academic vacation may be granted to students of higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the following cases:
– for military service;
– to restore health;
– for pregnancy and childbirth;
– for child care;
– for the care of the unhealthy member of the family (father, mother or their replacement persons, spouse, child).
In addition, a student with children at the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies is given a minimum of 2 weeks ‘ vacation. A student who is a father can also take 1 or 2 weeks of vacation based on the curriculum graph. The administration of the Institute believes that having a student with a young child will not be an obstacle to education. It provides comfortable conditions for students of this category. In accordance with the maternity plan document completed by the student, a student who has children in the faculties of the institute will have the opportunity to take a certain period of leave in accordance with the notice of the dean of the faculty of mother or student father.
The institute has organized a kindergarten for the children of students with young children and teachers. These kindergartens provide services for children from three months to school age. It is established that the student brings his child with him to the lesson and leaves him in the special kindergarten of the University, taking him again when the classes are over.
A separate program has been developed by the administration of the Institute for students-girls with pregnant or young children, according to which academic standards and educational process are provided as suitable conditions for the student-mother’s studies without violation. In this case, they choose one of two different forms of vacation. The first is a short 2-week vacation, while the second is a one-year academic vacation given for childcare. The student chooses one of them and continues his studies.
The institute also provides special psychological and practical courses and Counseling Centers for young mothers. In addition, groups of young mothers who are focused on solving problems in all areas are incredibly useful for students-girls with families. The above examples are just one of the opportunities created by teachers and students with children or pregnant at the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies.
The institution is trying to solve the problems that the Assembly Council is trying to solve within the limits of the possibility, walking among the students and hearing the problems that afflict them. The council is always ready to support students and girls with families, to help in accordance with the norms of the law. Every opportunity created for students with families studying Today, woman teachers with young children teaching students, is not only an opportunity for a woman-girl to be given through her to a family, to a whole society, is the good that has been done. The institute operates a young child or pregnant professor and a psychologist at the institute to study the problems of students and give them the necessary recommendations.
