On August 29, the Information Service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation held a press tour of student residences of higher education institutions in Andijan region.

The next destination of the process was the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies. The institute has a total of 5 student residences, of which the 1st and 2nd are being used in practice. Blocks A and B of dormitory 1 are for boys, and blocks A and B of dormitory 2 are for girls, both of which have 656 places.
Students can be accommodated in these hostels by applying for public services. The third dormitory has 600 beds and is currently being completely renovated on the basis of PPP. A contract was concluded with an entrepreneur in order to prepare the fourth student residence. By October of this year, the renovation will be completed and the 300-bed residence will be put into use. A fifth student residence is included in the investment program. The implementation of the 350-seat residential project is ongoing.
Two thousand and twenty of four thousand three hundred and ten full-time undergraduate students need housing. Currently, 1,312 residences are ready to receive students, and the work on furnishing a 600-bed dormitory based on DHSH will be completed on September 2. 1912 students will be provided with dormitories, while 120 students will be accommodated in rented apartments.

Another information is that accommodation for 2,562 students will be created after all the hostels are operational.
