About the department

Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 30, 2020 No PQ-4795 “On measures to further improve the agricultural sector”, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 29, 2020 “Tashkent Order No. 5135 “On approval of the Charter and organizational structure of the Andijan State Agrarian University and its branches and the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology” and the Order of the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology from October 2020 “On storage of agricultural products, processing and packaging technologies ”.

On the basis of the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, it has been operating since August 28, 2023 under the name of the department “Technology of silk production, storage and processing of agricultural products”. Currently, 23 professors and teachers are engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities at the department.

The department has 2 classrooms for lectures, 8 rooms for practical training, and 2 laboratory rooms.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS

All subjects taught at the department are sufficiently provided with textbooks and manuals. In addition, the teaching-methodical sets are written and reproduced by the experienced teachers of the department and are being used in the educational process.

From the textbook “Evaluation of the quality of agricultural products” by the senior teacher of the department M.Soliyeva from the subject “Silk production and mulberry” and by J.Toychiyev, E.Asranov, Sh.Dekhonova, S.Khalilova and O.Egamberdiyev was released, its delivery to students made it possible to fully satisfy the work in this field. Also, monographs were published in 2023 by R. Mirzayev and M. Tajidinov, associate professors of the department.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF SCIENTIFIC WORKS

At the department, research is currently being carried out mainly on two topics:

In this field, Respublikada has established close scientific relations with the leading scientific centers, namely the Scientific Research Institute of Silk Production of the RFA, Tashkent State Agrarian University. The teachers of the department have been participating in the scientific journals of the Republic, international and national scientific conferences with the results of their scientific research.

Currently, 2 associate professors, 1 candidate of science and 2 professors with the degree of doctor of philosophy (PhD) are working in the department.
