Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 30, 2020 No PQ-4795 “On measures to further improve the agricultural sector”, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 29, 2020 “Tashkent Order No. 5135 “On approval of the Charter and organizational structure of the Andijan State Agrarian University and its branches and the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology” and the Order of the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology from October 2020 “On storage of agricultural products, processing and packaging technologies ”.
On the basis of the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, it has been operating since August 28, 2023 under the name of the department “Technology of silk production, storage and processing of agricultural products”. Currently, 23 professors and teachers are engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities at the department.
The department has 2 classrooms for lectures, 8 rooms for practical training, and 2 laboratory rooms.
