Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies is one of the largest higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan that prepares highly qualified specialists for the agricultural and water management sectors. The team of the institute and many specialists trained here have significant contributions to the consistent and steady progress of the agrarian reforms implemented in our republic today.
The educational institution was established in June 1964 under the name of Andijan Cotton Institute on the basis of the Andijan branch of the former Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. Over the past period, our Republic has trained more than 23,000 highly qualified scientists-agronomists, engineers-mechanics and engineers-hydromelioration engineers for agricultural enterprises and organizations.
In addition to knowledge, a young specialist is required to love the land, the farming profession, agricultural machinery, and to be aware of modern scientific and technical achievements. Taking this into account, professors and assistants of the institute are trying to connect teaching with practice, to develop young people who are passionate about science and technology in all aspects, to prepare them as future leaders of agricultural production and processing.
This institution is a leading and promising higher education institution that prepares highly qualified competitive personnel in the field of agriculture, widely uses and implements energy and resource efficient technologies in the agricultural sector.

HISTORY OF THE INSTITUTE

• 1964 – Andijan branch of Tashkent State Agrarian University was established in 1964 under the name of Andijan Cotton Planting Institute on the basis of Andijan branch of Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers.
• 1992 – based on the decree of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan I.A. Karimov dated March 15, 1992, the Andijan Agricultural Institute was established on the basis of the Andijan Cotton Institute in order to expand the specialization of higher educational institutions.
• 2018 – Based on President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoev’s decision of May 8, 2018 “On measures to radically improve the system of training higher educated personnel at Tashkent State Agrarian University” No. branch was established.
• 2020 – On the basis of President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoev’s decision No. PQ-4795 of ______, 2020, the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies was established on the basis of the Andijan branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University.
